Burning Man Theme Camp
Castle Anomalous is expanding our theme camp for 2012. In prior years, the main focus of our theme camp has been the Castle Anomalous mutant vehicle. When our mutant vehicle was parked at our theme camp, it helped draw large crowds because the roof deck offers a great place to hang out, listen to music and see sweeping views across the playa. However, during much of the day and night when the Castle Anomalous vehicle was driving around the playa, not much activity took place at our theme camp. This will change for 2012 with an expanded "castle" theme at our camp including a new castle bar that will server grog/mead and new medieval activities that will broaden our castle theme beyond mainly a focus on our mutant vehicle. Starting in 2012, our theme camp will be a fun place to visit even when our mutant vehicle is driving around the playa. Stop by our camp this year to see all the new things we've done.
The general layout of the Castle Anomalous theme camp consists of two distinct areas: public and private. Our 50 ft X 100 ft camp is divided into a 50 ft X 50 ft private living area in the back of the camp and a 50 ft X 50 ft public area in the front of the camp. The private living area contains tents for camp members, a shared shade structure, camp infrastructure, etc. The private area also is used for parking the camp's utility trailer and vehicles. The main part of the public area is for parking the Castle Anomalous mutant vehicle (40 ft X 10 ft). The public area also contains a 17 ft dome with the "castle" bar and a public chill space.
